Saturday, October 24, 2015 proved to be a perfect day for a wedding at Emmanuel College! Julie D’Alessandro ’08 and Ryan Daly ’09 were married in a beautiful wedding Mass presided over by Rev. John Spencer, S.J., Emmanuel College Chaplain and Vice President for Mission & Ministry.  The couple took a moment to share their story:

“We met right outside of Saint Joe’s residence hall on April 13, 2008. Ryan was unlocking his
bicycle and Julie asked for his phone number. We’ve been together ever since! Through the
years we’ve gone from boyfriend/girlfriend to being each other’s sounding boards, support
systems, and irreplaceable other. We realized that the dynamic we have is something worth
sanctifying and using to grow together, and raise a family with.”

We also asked the couple why it was important to be married at Emmanuel…

“Because to us, Emmanuel is home. It is really important to us to be married, surrounded by
our nearest and dearest friends and family, here at home. There is a rich history for us here
and we hope this carries through on our special day.”

Please join us in Mission & Ministry as we offer Julie and Ryan our prayers and best wishes for their marriage and new life together!
